Saisons of the Year

Beers were selected to represent each season of the year. The only catch, they all had to be saisons. There are not many seasonal-driven saison varieties, so there was a strong element interpretation. Some were dry and crisp, others malty and robust.

Bread, cheese, and bread were provided. Cups were limited. But, everyone made it work. By the end, opinion varied. But, everyone had a beer they enjoyed.

Saison Dupont (Brasserie Dupont)

Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quencher. Farmhouse top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.

Hennepin (Brewery Ommegang)

This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing.

Sofie (Goose Island Beer Co.)

80% Belgian Style Ale, 20% Belgian Style Ale aged in wine barrels with citrus peel. Champagne color, white pepper aroma, citrus & vanilla flavor, sparkling body.

Sorachi Ace (Brooklyn Brewery)
